Yeah I saw Alicia Sacramone, that's really sad. It must be really hard on her. Hopefully she's already gotten over it though. Must feel horrible. Did you see Shawn Johnson, she's like a prodigy. I can't believe she's only 16 o.O

Did you hear about the age scandal with the Chinese athletes? People thought she was 14.
Too bad for Shawn Johnson on missing the gold, I really thought she'd win.

Have you seen the way his arms move? It's insane.. not normal haha. I used to be a swimmer and you can tell he's either an alien or he's double jointed. Either way, the guy is totally killing it. If I were him, I would retire.. can you imagine the amount of pressure he'd get at the next Olympics? And you see the news trashes on athletes that are no longer at their peak..

He's actually never swimming that schedule again. That's what he says anyways. He says he's too old... and he's 23 o.O If he considers himself old... how about Torres? Almost twice that age.

Samantha, I think your right about him being double jointed. I'm pretty sure his coach said he was double jointed in his elbows and.. like 2 or 3 other places, but that it has (paraphrasing here) nothing to do with his physique, it's all determination.

He is double jointed, they did a feature about him. When they looked at a computer simulation that created an image of the optimal swimmer, it looked almost exactly like Michael Phelps. He's pretty much got the perfect body for swimming. He is something like 6'7" but his arm span is like over 7'! He's got flippers as feet too.

Yeah they said he's 6'4", has the legs of a 6'0" man and the torso of a 6'8" man.
His hands are the size of a dinner plate and his feet are size 14 and his ankles are double jointed.
They say he consumes 12,000 calorie every day and trains 96 km every week.

Yes.. I was paying close attention to what they said about him on tv haha..

It's pretty crazy !

lol yeah...Impressive statistics. Guess he's just another wonder of the world. It's good though that he doesn't have the cockiness of some great athletes. He's a hardworking guy so it paid off in the end.
