Is it worthwhile to get a mini fridge if I'm going to be living in Bates. I know there is a fridge in the kitchen but I don't know how big it is and if it's big enough if all four people want to keep stuff in it. I plan on doing a lot of cooking this year on res.

Discuss with your roommates how much you're all going to be cooking. It can be really difficult for 2 people to share a fridge, so if you're all keeping something in there you may not have very much space for your stuff.

Depends on how much food you'll put in it. I was in a 4 room in Bates last year and none of us had a mini fridge. The fridge was a little jam packed at time, but its certainly doable to share with 4 people.

I had the exact same size fridge and I was in a Hedden Double Room. We had enough room for my roomate to have one the same size. We had two 4.3 cubic feet minifridges and still had sufficient room. =]

We stayed in a Hedden double room during Horizons, and there's a ton of wall space for the 4.3 cu fridge. There's enough space to fit a fridge per person as well

How big are the freezers in the mini-fridges? And what exactly would I be able to fit into them?

Lol, I think you can fit 6 of those michelina microwave things. So yeah, it's really small. Plus when it starts to frost, you can't fit as much :(

Yeah, they're not too big :S. There isn't much that you'd want to put in it anyway.. I think

Yeah, if you are living in residence you don't really need to put anything in the freezer.

I have this addiction to popsicles, freezies and other frozen treats. O.o So I would need to put things in the freezer...if I was buying a fridge.

Yeah exactly, you don't need space for anything more than frozen dinners and what not.

You can probably fit a couple dozen popsicles, you just have to remove them from the box and pack them in So ice cream would be harder because if the tub doesn't fit then you can't do anything about it.
