Or even just ask a more specific question? What exactly do you want to know about the program, other than what is on the McMaster website and in the course calendar?
You could have a completely legitimate question, but it can't be answered if we don't know what you're asking.

If you actually attend your 1HB3 classes, you'll get a whole lecture about GIS and the program at Mac in a few weeks. (Which you would know if you read that nice, pretty syllabus I mentioned before).
I took 2 GIS classes to cover up my geography minor and there is a lot to talk about this topic that it is is hard to explain here. The others are right. You should search it up before asking because everything cannot be explained fully here. You have to gain the knowledge about the program itself...
