Specs looked amazing at first but I just read quite a bit on it and the bootloader is locked preventing custom ROMS. This means you won't be able to fully appreciate the Andriod OS. This is what I read anyways. Wasn't too interested in purchasing a $500 shell of a laptop either so it seems like a deal breaker to me.

I do have my sights on the new Samsung Galaxy S II though. Looks like it has same specs as the Atrix too. Only problem is with Samsung is their slow software updates. Then again if you put custom roms then this shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully we get a release date soon!

Yea. Motorola loves to locked down their stuff. And I do agree, Samsung has a horrible track record of updating their stuff.

That is the life of Androids I suppose.

But to be honest, do you really need the OS upgrade? Think back when we didn't have smartphones, did we really base our purchase on wherethe or not we can upgrade its OS?
