The BoD wasn't allowed to vote on their own wages because it would be a conflict of interest. The same should apply to SRA members for the same reason. Sure, they can approve the budget, but I think certain portions of the budget with a conflict of interest should be decided by another party.
For example, the Social Justices Chair was part of Amnesty International. She wasn't allowed a vote in the social justices award because it was a conflict of interest. The same applies here.
Just my opinion, of course.
