How to mute a landline phone?
How do I mute a landline phone that doesn't have a mute button?

i.e. I want to listen in on a conference call, but don't want them to hear any noises from my end.

Thanks.

If it doesn't have a mute button, then there's nothing you can do except be really quiet. Not all landline phones have mute functions built in.

put rubber bands around the phone head, take a glass cup to cover it. Rubber bands should make it not slip and insulated.

Maybe its a business call and they are just an employee who needs to listen?

logic says: if that was the case, then they would ask their boss or someone in the office who would know... lol

Im going with a no on that one :p

however, employee listening to a call... without trying to be detected, ie... evesdropping.. more probable lol
