In engineering, tests are always on Friday evening for most classes. No joke...

Only in first year though :p

Last year I found the bulk of our midterms were on Thursdays, followed by Tuesdays. There were a couple of Fridays though (followed by the lolSaturday midterms for all the kids taking Econ)

first thing to change: get rid of windows vista

other than that, you cant expect to have an amazing schedule in first year engineering, everyone goes through hell, just make the best of it, aslong as you dont have 830 labs your fine so try and switch that

L'Étoile, mfattal all say thanks to zakibhatti for this post.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's mandatory for all engineers regardless of whether or not they are in co-op. It's an online module/quiz that you complete before starting labs.
Introduction to safety guidelines at McMaster University, acceptable safety conduct and positive safety attitudes and practices in laboratories and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).

This course is evaluated on a Complete/Fail basis. Students who fail will be required to register in the course again, during the same academic year.

Web modules
Prerequisite(s):
Registration in any Engineering program
Antirequisite(s):
ENG TECH 1A00, NURSING 1A00, SCIENCE 1A00
This course must be completed before registering in any Level II Engineering program.
