In your case I'd go with the "Better" one. With this laptop you have the ability to install a Soundblaster X-Fi.

For myself, I got the "Ultimate" and upgraded the RAM to 8GB and sound card to the X-Fi, but I'm needy like that. Lol.

Definitely out of my budget lol. If I had the money I'd definitely indulge. Just ordered the Dell inspiron 15r yesterday. i3 processor, 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive, 15.6" 720p HD screen for only 599, within the budget and definitely a good deal. Thanks for all the advice guys!
