Need Help Picking Last Elective!
Hi all! I'm having some difficulty deciding between Multimedia 1B03 and Art History 1AA3 for my last elective. I'm interested in both but I've read reviews on the Professors for Multimedia, Professor Hamilton and Professor MacTavish, and they haven't been good. Any other input would be helpful. Take note that I don't have too much experience with photoshop either. As I said i'm also thinking of taking Art History but I haven't heard much about it which is why i'm a little apprehensive. Any more information on that course would be great! Thank you!

I'm taking MMedia 1B03 with MacTavish right now. Although there is no final exam, there is a test worth 20%, and the rest are assignments. If you don't have too much experience in using Photoshop, I wouldn't really recommend it. Most students in the class have used or learned Photoshop before. We also have to use Adobe Fireworks and Dreamweaver for the final project, which is worth 40% of your grade (group work, too). Since you only learn the basics (and I mean really basic, and you have to figure out the rest for your assignments), you might have a hard time using all these software. But here's the breakdown for the course right now:

3 Assignments - 30% (each worth 10%)
Reading quizzes at random times - 10%
Test - 20%
Rough draft of final project (meet with the prof) - 15%
Final project (25%)

Hope this helps.

This definitely helped, thank you! I've decided against taking MMedia 1B03, so i guess it's Art History 1AA3 for me. Does anyone have a review/course breakdown of this course? Thanks!

I got B+ for my final grade with MacTavish, so maybe you can consider taking MMedia 1B03 I guess.. B+ is not so bad. I'm not sure about Art History 1AA3. Never taken it. Sorry!
