I am currently a third year honours biology physiology sp. student, and I was planning on dropping my specialization and switching into honours biology next year.

However, I just noticed that the honours biology course requirements recently changed, and students must now take at least one level IV biology/mol bio course if they have not "entered prior to September 2013", whereas that was not required before.

If I'm switching into the honours biology program for my fourth and final year, am I still required to take the level IV course? I'm confused about this requirement because I am technically not "entering" honours biology, as I'm currently in honours biology with a specialization. I'm simply dropping my specialization.

Anyone have any input on this?

Your best bet would be to talk to an academic advisor.. seems like a unique case.
