If possible, I would first "test" the device out by buying it a store that has easy refund policy (for example Futureshop).
Canada Computers charge you a restocking fee on open products. If you end up not being happy with your
laptop, you will immediately lose a certain % of money. Their products tend to be cheaper but only buy it if you are certain.
Dell might be online only but they have a lot of nice promotion and coupons that you can use.

You didn't really give us much information on your usage. What will you be using most on the
laptop? Basic web surfing? Gaming? Graphic editing? Etc...
Figure that out first before anything.
You shouldn't buy anything unless you know what you will be using it for.
