NEW Life Sci Lab courses Available!
Are you in the Life Sciences program? Do you want some lab experience and get credit for it? If so register for one of two new life science lab courses being offered this spring. The courses are two weeks long (early May) and students will employ a variety of techniques to carry out a research project. Short course descriptions are provided in the pdf below.

This is a great opportunity to get some wet and dry lab experience which will undoubtedly be beneficial when looking for thesis supervisors. Furthermore, you get academic credit for it! Registration opens on March 22 on SOLAR. Enrollment is limited, and a minimum of 16 students per course is required, so spread the word! If you have any questions, feel free to post here or message me.

You wouldn't have the prereqs for the second one if you only finished first year. And technically you won't be registered in Honours Life Sciences until September, so this summer you're still considered to be in Life Sciences I.

It's the first time they're doing it, so it probably depends how things go this year.

Danielrus says thanks to starfish for this post.

Starfish is exactly right. This year is the pilot year. Depending on popularity and success, hopefully it will be available in future years.
