If I remember correctly it's due July 15th. I still haven't handed mine in either, cause I was confused about the instructions on it -- "attach and ORIGINAL passport photo". But a passport photo doesn't fit in the box.

I emailed the Registrar and they said this:

Clear photo with no hat is fine. Doesn't have to fit exactly in the
box.

And I double checked:

So it doesn't have to be a passport photo?
Dave

Them again:

No. About that size and original, not scanned.

I don't think they'll stop accepting forms, but you'll need your student card to pick up your welcome week stuff (IIRC) so you'll want to do it before August to allow them to process it.

I'm not sure if they stop accepting forms or not, I said they keep on accepting them because you need your student card to be able to take midterms and exams. So without it you can't take any courses.

It's best to contact the registrar to make sure.

Here's a hint for the photo of you that has to be attached

You don't have to dish out 20 bucks for a professionally taken passport photo at all. Just take the picture at home and make sure the print size is 1.5in by 1.5in (I use Fireworks to edit my photos) and then go to Walmart to have it printed. 19 cents plus tax only! Walmart makes photo prints in 4x6in so...just open a new picture file with those dimensions and then copy/paste your 1.5x1.5in photo onto it multiple times.

So if we take the picture ourselves, does the background have to be white still?

I'm pretty sure the background does not have to be white, as I remember seeing some people's student IDs with a red background. Can someone confirm...?

Nope; when I got my picture taken at McMaster, they actually used a blue background.

I don't think the background really matters, but to be safe just make it one colour.

You should call in first. They don't take pictures everyday because they have to have the camera set-up.
