The smoking area in front of the Health Science building is the best place to enjoy
a cigar, alternatively there is a cigar lounge in downtown hamilton if you are an
avid smoker. Id recommend a Monte Cristo No 2, its by far the smoothest cigar.

A few words to all smokers who read this forum:
Firstly, it would mean a lot to a lot of people if, when you light up, you make sure you are not smoking in an area where there are open windows. I know a lot of my residence friends complain that they can't keep their windows open because people will smoke directly below them and the smell will drift in.
Secondly, it would mean a lot to a lot of people if you also stayed -downwind- of building entrances/windows, when possible =) Smoking 9 meters upwind of an entrance sort of defeats the purpose of staying away from the entrance at all.
So please be considerate - It's your choice as to whether or not you want to smoke. Please do not force your choice on others.

If you could also not smoke directly in front of signs that say DO NOT SMOKE HERE for X REASON just b/c you're an ass that would be great too.
In front of CNH on one side there is a sign like that because of the fan thingy that sucks air into the building or whatever and obviously they don't want smoke sucked into it. So of course I walk by the other day and there is some guy smoking right in front of that sign, he's barely 9 CM from it, forget 9 M.

Agreed.
However, while we're at it, let's not be discriminatory - to people that decide to binge drink on weekends, it would be nice if you don't scream and shout outside / in the halls and bang on the doors. It's rather annoying, and their choice has repercussions that are forced on others too.
