On February 9th @ 6:30pm, McMaster MakeBelieve presents a night of song, dance and theatre!
This interactive show will channel creative arts while exploring pressing community issues like teen crime, abusive relationships, poverty, self-identity challenges and much more.
Join us for an interactive community theatre piece featuring the insight and charismatic performance of guest lecturer Hartley Jafine!
Hartley is a member of the Faculty of Health Sciences who has trained with some of the most influential community theatre and theatre for development experts in the world. He currently teaches the Artistic Explorations of Community Issues course as well as Theatre for Development and Health, Attitude and Behaviour. His insightful lectures help students reevaluate the role of creative arts in society and present several accessible ways to use arts as a therapeutic tool - in both your life and the lives of children, prisoners, the homeless and other communities.
A Night of MakeBelieve is a creative lecture, interactive performance, concert and dance show all in one... and YOU, the audience, will play a central role in the show.
Visit the Facebook event for more information and let us know if you are attending! The show will be in Hamilton Hall, Room 302.
