Nooo Federer lost :(
Juan Martin del Potro stunned five-time defending champ Roger Federer in five sets to win the men's US Open title.

:( :( :(

...Awesome match though.

Federer is past his prime. He might win maximum 1 or 2 more grand slams because there are younger federers like Del Potro coming into the limelight. So if he keeps making finals from now on, consider him to still be a damn good player because its not possible at his age to keep up with the physicality of the game.

You're kidding right? I think he's still in his prime.

This year...

1) Federer was the runner up at the Australian Open
2) Federer WON the French Open
3) Federer WON Wimbledon
4) Federer's the runner up at the US Open

Past his prime? I don't think so...

You're still going see a lot of Federer. He's the greatest tennis player EVER.

I agree with Matthew here. Federer is still in his prime. He still has a few years in him.

You do realize Federer is 28 right?

I'm surprised Nadal hasn't been mentioned yet.

He came back from and injury, and was able to get into the semis. Now that's awesome...

lol i am a huge federer fan myself so don't get me wrong here.. but I just believe that the way he dominated other players in 2004-2005-2006-2007 was just pure magical... I know he is still winning grand slams and he's only 28, and I would love seeing him win like 20+ grand slams b4 he retires but I am just being realistic about him. If you haven't noticed, he makes a lot more errors now than he used to, he is also a bit less aggressive.. he still has his amazing shots but doesnt display them as often..
and jhan, other players that are of federer's age like roddick, hewitt, safin.. they all suck now.. nowhere near him.. they are all losing to youngsters or retiring early..

Want to know what's common with all those players you've listed....

They aren't FEDERER, the greastest tennis player EVER.

lol, you're joking right?

Last time I checked... Federer had 15 Grand Slams, more than any other tennis player.

Federer passed Sampras in Grand Slam wins and is 3 titles away from career titles (64 for Pete, 61 for Federer)
