I was looking around at houses and I was wondering if there are any houses with a lease that starts in September?? I'm not going to be here in the summer and I really don't want to spend like 1000 dollars just to have dibs on a good house.

Most start in May, but you can always sublet the room. If you want to take the chance you can wait until August to find a place but I wouldn't advise it unless you have a backup plan.

It's pretty unlikely that you'll get an 8 or even 10 month lease. It sucks, but that's how it is. :(
