So I'm trying to sign up for Chem 2OA3
but it says
"You do not have the academic requisites for course: CHEM 2OA3 1 E"

So I looked up the pre-reqs online and it says

Prerequisite(s):
Registration in Honours Chemical Biology. Prerequisite (Beginning 2010-2011): CHEM 1AA3 with a grade of at least C- and registration in Honours Chemical Biology

So you can't take this course unless you're enrolled in Chem Bio?

Um, no, I don't think so

Its possible that the summer course (specifically) is preferential towards chem bio students though.

Could it be that I'm currently enrolled in Chem 1AA3 and haven't completed the course yet?.. this is annoying, I really wanted to take this course during the summer!

That Chem Bio requirement is for CHEM BIO 2OA3 (which isn't offered) not CHEM 2OA3.

Edit: The requirements for CHEM 2OA3 are:

(See Department Note 2.)

i think u have the wrong pre-req up .. this is 2oa3:
CHEM 2OA3 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY I An introduction to organic chemistry with emphasis on the reactions of functional groups and an introduction to spectroscopic techniques for structure determination.
Three lectures, one lab (three hours) every other week; one tutorial (two hours) every other week; one term

but yes.. i think the reason it wont allow u is because u have not yet completed 1aa3... go see an academic advisor to see if u can get a waiver based on your current marks.. or wait until the course is over

You can still take it, you just need permission.

u need to go to ABB 156 to fill in a form to get the waiver
