OSAP error! HELP!
I'm rather confused about something. I made a mistake on my OSAP application (accidentally added an extra number to my income) and so my OSAP estimate was zero. I quickly noticed this mistake, and when I handed in my confirmation forms, I made the necessary correction on the sheet of paper, with my parent's signature (all in the correct format). They received it a month ago, however, the correction seemed to never be made on the website.
I talked to my friend who knows about these things, and he said that they don't correct it on the website, but not to worry because it is corrected in the database.

What should I do?!

One thing you can do: Call OSAP, and explain your situation. They will make the necessary adjustments and recalculate the amount of funding you'll get. Do it first thing tomorrow morning.

Oh, and make sure you have all your important information ready, like your SIN, student number, etc. just in case you have to prove you're who you are and not a wacko. :]

I also made a mistake in my income. I called the Financial Aid office and they told me that in order to get the mistake corrected, I would have to hand in my 2008 Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue. I handed in the Assessment and the mistake was fixed!

I am assuming you would have to do the same (ie. hand in a copy of your 2008 Notice of Assessment). Nonetheless, you should contact the Financial Aid office to confirm.

Hope this helps!

You call up 905 525 9140. The extension is 24319. I'd call 9:00 AM on Tuesday because they're closed tomorrow as stated on their website (lot of OSAP documentation to process).
