What about from McMaster to Montreal? What would be the most efficient way? I'm assuming about the same way to get to Ottawa..and then once in Ottawa take a bus to Montreal? Is this possible? Also, how much would a trip like this cost approximately?

No, you would go direct from Montreal to Toronto and vice-versa on Coach Canada's Megabus: http://sales2.coachcanada.co m/

Purchase your ticket in advance online and your looking at about $50 compared to VIA Rail's $150 - $225 for the exact same route. (VIA does offer some discounted fares which can lower that to $49 - $99 but those are few and far between - plus you have to put up with their notoriously poor service and complete inability to run on time.)

I've only taken this Coach Canada twice, but both times I was happy with the service and most importantly - it was on time.

Coach Canada is a major player in the Hamilton area holding the government leases on Hamilton to:

Guelph
St. Catherine's
Niagara Falls
Guelph
Cambridge
Kitchener (includes Waterloo)

alright, so I'm taking an Ontario Northland bus up to South River from Toronto sunday night. The bus leaves from the bus station, at 7:30. That means if i take the go train from aldershot or burlington i need to get on the train at around 5, to get to union at 6:07. The train leaves Burlington at 5:14. What time should I leave Mac, how often will that express bus be running to the station on a sunday afternoon?

Or maybe that isn't the best plan, but i'd like to miss as little as possible of the Horizons program. Thanks!

Your taking the bus on Sunday. So, you need to be out of Hamilton on the 5pm out of downtown. The bus is express and runs about 50 mins to Toronto on Sunday.
Always avoid the bus during rush hours and nights with major events in Toronto - it's the way to go on Saturday/Sunday.
