Interac is real-time though. Setting up a bill requires time for the transaction to take place.

=p I certainly hope people aren't paying their tuition at the last moment.

This is convenient for people who procrastinate, but it would have been more practical to use the money to fix more important technical things... *cough*SOLAR.

I usually set up a transaction to take place 3 business days before the deadline.

Yeah, I was going to say. The article makes it seem like people can use interac to avoid not receiving their marks due to an overdue account. Who waits untill the last day possible to pay off their account and requires speedy interac.

Makes no sense lol

People likely aren't procrastinating just because they don't pay until the last minute.

Not everyone just has the funds to be able to pay their tuition right and fees right away. Lots of students likely have to work the whole Summer and save up all their money and put everything together to pay the tuition fees.

I think it's rude to criticize and say people are just procrastinating if they need "speedy interac." Not everyone is affluent and able to easily afford University.

Well procrastinating on a boring assignment is different from paying a large sum of money. It's not as if paying requires time or effort, it if it was a matter of just doing it people would do it early. It's a matter of actually having all the funds in your account.
