MD is an undergraduate professional degree. FHS at mac has a special grade for professors involved mostly in clinical work called Associate Clinical Professor, a large portion of whom only have an MD, as opposed to other tenure track professors who by a large majority in most fields have PhDs.

Maters what field. As an example from the big bang theory, a PhD in French studies ..

Take those only if you want to teach it
