It might be a combination of your phone and Rogers, since a lot of you have the same phone and are with Rogers. I'm with Rogers and I haven't noticed anything, I have an old BlackBerry Curve.

thats not a 3G phone is it? the Xenon is a 3G phone.
Actually, those with a Xenon. you can turn off 3G and just use 2G/Edge
go to the dialpad and type 3845#*500# and then its in Modem Settings, Connection mode (or something) Ive switched from the Xenon, but that worked for me

So I called Rogers again today to complain and ask about it, and they said all they can do is if we call and tell them certain times that we have had troubles ect. He said he didn't know anything about if they plan to add more towers to the area to help with the network congestion.

called fido today. their solution: find a friend with fido and switch simcards into the phone. if problem is gone, then phone issue. if still persists, sim/tower issue

haha i literally started a thread on this yesterday. i called again today to tell them that i was lied to because they told me that i was the first one to complain from the mac campus, i have a reference number now to follow up on. when you call they try to get you to think that its your phone, be super firm with them and tell them that half of mac has this issue and get them to give you a ref# about your complain
