You guys are insane in your phone plans! How can you pay anything over 40 bucks? I pay 29/month and got a free nexus S with that thats paid in three years. No cancellation fees besides remaining tab amount. I get unlimited talk,text,data, CD/VM. Btw I use 25 GB a month which is like streaming a movie every day and the regular jazz of browsing, FB and all. Switch to Wind lol and save.

This is assuming you have reception and are in Winds zone. Look at my old posts and you will see i advocated for wind pretty hard. Then one day got pissed off at coming upstairs from my basement room for food or something and getting like 5 texts and a missed call all at once. I also went to Halifax for a week and had to be very careful because i was outside a wind zone which was annoying.

Lets break down price here:
Wind:
Galaxy Nexus -> Wind Tab: $199 (balance cleared in 3 years, but if you leave in 2 you are shafted with a $300 charge
Plan: $40/month no contract except you will want to not pay for the phone -> 36 months
Total Charge: ($199+36*40)*1.13 = $1853 /36 months

Bell:
Galaxy Nexus: Free on 3 year, shafted if you leave again.
Plan: $55(for me)/month (i negotiated free callerID)
Total Charge: ($0+55*36)*1.13 = $2237.4 /36 months

Total Difference: 2237-1853 = $384/36 months = $10.67 per month

I was able to justify this 10/month because I get far better and consistent service. Data on my phone is faster than bells DSL internet they offer as a landline. I get unlimited nationwide calling to 10 numbers which all I have ever used anyways with unlimited text. I dont have dropped calls and I dont get messages hours late because my service reception was crap. I am not charged pay as you go fees if I exit the area. All-in-all not a bad compromise.

newer androids, yes. the ones that are on par and better than the iphone.

Technically, it isn't a free Nexus S. You're paying a 10% portion from your monthly bill towards the phone's costs.

Except you would be paying that the same about monthly weather you got the nexus for free or bought it out right. They just say that 10% of your monthly bill goes towards your phone

Bell I think is the only carrier that offers 10% of your monthly bill if you bring your own phone

The reason why wind is cheap cause it is a new company relatively and slowly expanding its network Thats why you should be in the core areas for it to be worth it

That's true that Wind's reception sucks so when you do compare the prices it does seem worth it to pay, and yup Ryan it goes up to 45 although I am pretty sure either a promo will be out or I can drop it to 40. herbs its a free nexus in the sense that they give you that discount and take 10% from the money you pay and put towards the discount. So your not paying anything extra. Its like a contract without cancellation fees lol

Still, technically it isn't free. If it was technically free, even if you did cancel your account with WIND, you wouldn't have to pay anything. Since that isn't the case, technically, it isn't free.
