Phys 1L03 slash Nejat RM
If anyone has any information to physics 1L03 or the prof Nejat RM please let me know. I want to know if he has mandatory attendance in his classes or if he tends to schedule tests during class time or if he posts slides up on his website.

The reason why I am asking is that two out of three cores for this class conflicts with another more important class and I am not planning on attending this course.

Thank you, any answer is appreciated

With physics there are iClicker quizzes which count for 5% of your grade. These take place during the cores, so it is probably not a good idea to miss class unless you are okay with losing out on approx 5%, given that you will be attending one of the cores.

Other than that - i've heard this course is really easy and slides are posted online so you don't necessarily need to go to class but I would not recommend doing this.

He is a funny prof, but he has to learn how to teach effectively. He picks on random students to answer questions as well.

This.

I really couldn't learn well with his overheads and examples.

The picking on students thing got old, quick too.

Oh, Nejat. I was half asleep in his lecture doing the head-bob thing and he yelled in my ear to demonstrate resonance.

I was and am still TERRIBLE at physics... Nejat obviously knows what he's talking about but his grasp of English isn't the greatest so I often left the class confused as hell. Tutorials were the longest 3 hours of my week, and my TA's English was even worse.

I got a D and consider myself lucky.
