Hey GarniT,

the only way to "pick" your professor is to enroll in the section that they are teaching. You can find out which prof is teaching which section for each course with the master timetable. If a certain professor is teaching a certain section (C01, C02, etc), then you have to choose that section on SOLAR in August in order to be in their class.

If you're in science, there is a special website that will be open called scidropandadd; you can use it to switch lab/tutorial/class sections once you enroll in a class. Although, as kenneth said, you can change it on solar during registration time (such as now )
For first year, you can read online reviews from sites such as this one to see which ones are worthwhile. There is also a course evaluation feature on mugsi. If you can figure out how to use it, you can see the class ratings for each professor.

Good luck!

I don't think scidropadd works anymore. Why would they make an extra site if you can do it easily on SOLAR...?

You can still change your classes now through SOLAR (if your 7 day period hasn't expired yet), but you will have to wait for the timetables to come out if you want to change tutorials and labs.

you're right, they changed it, now it's all done through SOLAR.

Thanks for the correction.

Paul
