Please check my Timetable
hi,
i just wanted to know if there was anything missing or wrong in this timetable...it looks a bit too good to me
only these are missing from them Math 1Z04 and 1ZZ5 labs and Engineer 1A00 (1st term),
but Math labs are just 2 hours every other week so cant be that bad, can it?

30 units, 5 courses in the 1st term and other 5 in the next. Also I would gladly drop philos/sociol if a physics course had any space :(

also please tell me if these is anything else that i should change

Thanks

edit: timetable updated

That looks like a pretty good schedule.
Just so you know though, the way you have it set up right now you have 4 courses in first term and 6 in second term. And also you've got 33 units and not 30 units, since the math courses are each more than 3 units. Not sure if that was what you wanted but just thought I'd point that out.

thanks for the input

but:
Comp Sci 1MD3 = 3 units
Engineer 1A00 = 0 units (i havent added Engineer to the timetable is its still TBA)
Math 1z04 = 4 units
Physics 1B03 = 3 units
Sociol 1A06 = 6 units (3 for each term)

total 1st term units = 3+4+3+3 = 13 units and 5 courses

Comp Sci 1FC3 = 3 units
Comp Sci 1TA3 = 3 units
Math 1zz5 = 5 units
philos 1e03 = 3 units
sociol 1a06 = 6 units (3 in 2nd term)

total = 3+3+5+3+3 = 17 units and still 5 courses

isnt this right?

Hey, I'm guessing you're in Comp Sci I

If so you need these courses -
6 units COMP SCI 1FC3, 1MD3
9 units MATH 1Z04, 1ZZ5
15 units Electives (See Note above)
1 course ENGINEER 1A00 (this is a one-time session of like 45min)
From Here

Term 1 you have 10 units and 3 courses.
Term 2 you have 14 units and 4 courses.
Term 3 you have 6 units and 1 course.

So you're looking at 13 units T1 with 4 courses and 17 units T2 with 5 courses which is kinda unbalanced, but still less than anyone in engineering I. You may want to switch a course from T2 to T1 to make it 16/14, but you should be fine either way.

Good guess lol

are u sure that Engineer 1A00 is just a one time thing??

because thats the only thing stopping me from taking a physics course in term 1 instead of philos in the 2nd..or maybe i could drop sociol and get 2 courses of my choice (Which seems very rare)

It's a safety course. I believe all the safety courses are the same (science, nursing, engineering). It's basically just a video and a quiz you have to pass. Last year the pass was 12/14.

switched immediately after reading this post
dropped philos 1e03 and added physics 1L03

thanks

now im thinking of taking COMP SCI 1MA3 (but dropping Sociol...and then taking another course in 2nd term seems difficult since most of the courses i want are already taken)

Timetable updated, please check first post

Looks like you have all of the courses you need for computer science.

It might be a good idea to take Comp Sci 1MA3 since it is what you want to get into and a lighter course in term 2.

i guess i could take econ 1b03 in the 2nd term and comp sci 1ma3 in the 1st term if i drop sociol

but i dunno how econ would be for me since i have no educational background in business, any other suggestions for a winter course..so that i can take comp sci 1ma3 in the fall?

Econ is supposed to start from scratch.

nah, i prefer physics over econ any day...especially since i have already studied those topics in my A levels

btw, just checked, i can't take comp sci 1ma3 because its not open to people taking comp sci 1ta3 (which is an extremely bird course from the outlines ive read)

so...maybe i'll take 1ma3 next year (can i??), also...to take 1ma3 i'll have to email the dept to get it waived (will take longer)

Hmm, according to the undergraduate calendar there should be no problem. I guess it's because 1MA3 deals with stuff in 1TA3 plus some more. So you can't take 1MA3 then 1TA3 because you would be taking the same material. But you can take 1TA3 then 1MA3, probably because it expands on what you learned in 1TA3 or something like that.

That's my hypothesis, but in short: Yes, it looks like you can take 1MA3 next year.

lol... 1TA3 teaches you to use word, excel, access, powerpoint and create simple web pages (from what i've read), 1MA3 is not required but i might as well take every comp sci course if i'm gonna major in it

btw, how is Sociol 1A06...i mean, do we have to write long papers or something like the humanities courses?? also, i cant find any course outline for this course
