Economy is not doing so well, which affects us mostly.

The engineering co-op advisor said you should take a look at the product book (not sure the name of it; you're not allowed to take it out of the office) in the co-op office, go through things you're interested in, and continue your research from there.

It depends on what stream you're in. All major companies are fair game though.
