I have a question...can we refill our Presto cards at COMPASS in the Student Centre? And can we ask to check our card balance and other things like that?

I haven't done it personally. But I think the whole point of having presto at mac was so that u can top off, check balances and what not.

Yes, you can add money to the card at Compass. You can also change your card to the student version so you can get cheaper rides. It's very likely that you can also ask about your balance there, but you can do that and add money to your card online.

Do I just need a valid McMaster student card in order to change my account to the student one?

Officially, maybe. But when I did it, I just told the person that I wanted it changed and she did it without asking for anything.
