Update on Promo. So I went to the transit place at Jackson Square. Asked for Presto. Traded in 10 tickets for $20 load value. I got a free card, $20 value on card and the 10 tickets back. Free $26....

Fyi, this thing is amazing, in case any of you are hesitant about getting it. With the student discount, convenience, never having to carry tickets or fumble with change...

@Leeoku YES! you can trade in your 2 and 10-rides at Compass as well to get your FREE PRESTO card as long as your tickets have a value of $10 or more still left on them, if they don't you just pay the difference until you get a minimum load value of $10.
