Printing on a library printer through personal laptop
Hi

I was interested in printing on a library printer through my personal laptop. I only recently found out this was possible here: http://printsmart.mcmaster.c a/downloads.html

the last step listed on that page is:
"Wait, you're not done yet...

Once you've finished installing the client, go to your "Printers and Faxes" window (via Control Panel) and add a printer. It should be a Networked printer called \\pinprq01\Campus-Follow-You (this is for staff, or personal laptops)"

I haven't been able to find this networked printer through my laptop. I'm presently using an ethernet cable connection at Hedden. I'm fairly certain i've followed all previous steps correctly. Do I have to be at the library to find it? that would sort of defeat the purpose of "print from home".

Any troubleshooting help would be appreciated,
Thanks

My recommendation:

(keep in mind these are instructions for Windows 7, most likely similar for other Windows OS)

Go to Devices and Printers > Add a printer

Click on "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer"

Click on "the printer I want isn't listed"

In the field of "select a shared printer by name" type :
\\pinprq01\Campus-Follow-You

Follow the remaining steps and that should do it. I am assuming you installed the Equitrac Client software.
