What days is psych? It has 99 core times, but does it only run once a week or something?

Psych is just once a week (the tutorial).

There is no actual lecture for the class as all lectures are online. The "cores" are actually tutorials in which you discuss the weeks lecture and do activities related to the subject matter.

There are so many of them because each tutorial is only 15-20 people (if I remember correctly).

No, each tutorial is about 25-26 people. But yeah, no live lectures, just tutorials.

EDIT: There is an online textbook for it, which is basically more elaborated examples and stuff. It's $30, and I didn't bother buying it for Psych 1XX3...so yeah, it depends. There's also a courseware that is 'mandatory', but I know people who've done without it.

I think it's optional but you really shouldn't need it. All the info on tests/exam will be straight from the lectures. The textbook just provided more examples for certain concepts.

I doubt you'd use it. It was an e-book this year, don't know if a print version was available.

I would definitely recommend NOT buying the e-book for either 1X03 or 1XX3. When I was in 1X03 my TA told me information from the e-book could appear on midterms/exams, but that wasn't true at all; there wasn't a single question anywhere from the e-book. So I wasted hours of my life making notes on those 250 pages. In 1XX3 Dr. Kim made it clear that the e-book is just supplementary, meant to help you better understand the material from the lectures, but that it wouldn't be tested. Why he didn't mention that during 1X03 I still don't know, but don't make the same mistake as me. For the record, I did better in 1XX3 than in 1X03, even without the e-book.
