I can't really picture myself saying "Hey guys, wanna go over to 1887 for some food and a few beers?". 1280 sounds better but then again, that's my opinion.

the only thing you're missing out on are the cheap drinks really.
and the pooltable which has billiard balls missing all the time.
and the poor lighting.
and long lines.

Lmao, love the HIMYM reference. It would be awesome, but I think something related to Mac would be best.

1280 is ballin. Quarters, on the other hand, is balliner.
Regardless of a name change, I'm still going to call it Quarters...just like how our parents still talk about "The Rathskeller".

It's just like The Sky Dome being changed to the Rogers Centre or the new ride names at Canada's Wonderland. Everyone is still going to call it Quarters, not the new name.
I do like 1280 though. I am however very against The Rusty Scholar, stupidest name ever.

So true, the Sky Dome was such an awesome name. Damn Rogers monopolizing everything. Soon Toronto will be called Rogers City, just you wait and see!
1280 is alright, I still like Quarters more though...

If enough students felt that way couldn't this type of issue be put to a referendum?
When that whole DVD referendum crap was going on I thought I read that if you get a certain percentage of the student body to sign a petition you can hold a referendum on the issue.
If people feel strongly enough about the issue they could fight for it.

The problem is that we want to have everything done in time for Welcome Week, so everyone can enjoy it and we can have events, and we need the name for signage, menus, uniforms, posters, ads, etc etc etc. and so holding a referendum wouldnt do anything since everyone is gone for the summer

Then why don't you just leave the name as it is?
As mentioned by numerous people already the name wasn't the problem with Quarters.
There is nothing wrong with the name and as you can see lots of people seem to like it.
It would just be the new and improved Quarters.

I want to know the results of the poll before (the one in March or April).
How many people wanted to keep the name Quarters?

Was that even an option is the real question.

I think it was. Like, it wasn't the first option but somewhere in the middle. Or maybe I just suggested it as "Other". I don't really remember lol

I'm pretty sure it was the front runner. Hopefully the team that decides takes that into account. Rusty Scholar = fail
