Question about Course Conflicts?
For 2nd semester, I'm currently enrolled in an English course at 9:30 am Mondays. However, I really want to switch my core for my Historical Inquiry, which would be from 8:30-10:20 on Mondays. I know that it would be a course conflict. My question is will I get in a lot of trouble if I allow this conflict? I know the document from McMaster says its your own fault if you chose to allow it if your exams are scheduled at the same time.. but I was just wondering how likely that is? Also are there any other legitimate problems I could run into here?

Anyone have any experience with allowing conflicting courses in your timetable?

Thanks!

It's hard to say whether or not the exams will be scheduled for the same time, but that's the only serious problem that you would run into. The other problem is that you'll probably end up sacrificing your grade for one or both classes because you obviously can't attend both lectures every week. I'm pretty sure that you can get one of your exams rescheduled if that is the case though - I've heard of students with conflicting courses doing this.

rebeccaaa says thanks to feonateresa for this post.
