Alright thanks. Is english that important for engineering? If I took grade 12 english in the summer to lighten up my load in grade 12, would it make a difference?

Nope. That's what I did, actually... well, I took it in the summer so that I could take an extra elective
I did science rather than engineering, but I don't think english matters much for either.

Okay thanks. English is pretty time consuming too.. so I hope I can take it in the summer and get a decent mark for university. Thanks!

Do it in the summer! In first year the only courses that had some writing were 1p03 and 1c03. For 1p03 you had too write reports and stuff and for 1c03 there's some writing in the final project.
Don't worry about it, you won't be analyzing poems in first year eng It's basic stuff, i am sure you'll be fine!
