Question about labs
Dear MacInsiders;

A quick question. Does it matter what lab you take when you pick your labs from SOLAR? OR is there a corresponding lab to a specific lecturer?

Thanks

For me, my French Course was C01. I wanted L05 but every time I click on it, the C01 would disappear. So, I think that it should be the same number, at least for this course. Hope this helps.

I'm not too sure about this but I think the lab number and the tutorial number should always match. The core can be any other number though...

You should be able to choose C01 after you switch labs to L05. For the science courses, every time I switch a lab, the entire core and tutorial reset, but then I just picked them again. As long as the lab is under the core in the master timetable, you should be allowed.

Okay, I checked the master timetable and the labs are under the corresponding cores (for French that is), so I think that if you want to a specific lab, you should check if the lab is under the core.

it depend son how the master timetable is set. If it lists a bunch of labs/tutorials under corresponding core lectures, then those are the ones you have to pick with your respective core.

If it lists the core and then ALL the labs/tutorials, you can pick anyone of them.
When you are solar, they will let you change it or not according to this master timetable.

once again, this also depends on the course. some courses will let you have different tutorial numbers and different lab numbers.

While others will only let you have the same lab and tutorial number. sometimes this maybe becuase they are EOW around the sametime so you would get the same number. which makes sense.
