question about picking courses
My program requires one elective but all the elective courses are full. Do I pick my required courses and then wait till august 8th to choose my elective?
When do I confirm the payment agreement?

I'm pretty sure there's a course out there that's not full that you can take. I think it's probably better to keep looking for one you can settle with before they really all fill up.

You can confirm the PA any time and multiple times.

There's a difference between all "elective" courses being full, and all the electives you want being full. There's no guarantee you will get the elective you want, but on July 11 and then again throughout August, spaces are continually opening up--often up until January (for term 2 courses), so keep trying. I'd register in a course anyways, even if it's not one you're super-interested in, so that you at least have something and your payment agreement will reflect an accurate amount (if you care about that...you can change it later if you want).

That's probably because most of the seats are reserved for first-years, who have yet to register.

You can't actually be in first year, since they haven't registered yet...try some second year courses? More 1st year spots will open up after they've registered.

Just pick any open course until the first-year courses that are reserved for first years open up some seats.

No, you have a week to make your selection after you enter for the first time, so if you went in the day it was released for you, and its been a week, you have to wait till August 8th.
