Question about Science 3EP3 and 3RP3
Hi, I am looking to apply for Science 3EP3 or 3RP3 this upcoming September.
But I just wanted to get some advice from people, when and how they contacted the professors or supervisors.
It says I should be contacting 2 months before start of September, but would it be better to start contacting the professors now for 3RP3?

And regarding the 3EP3, I am not sure how to reach out to people outside of school to have them be my placement supervisor. I don't know how you can ask professionals or doctors or whoever outside of school to have them supervise me, when they're already busy with their work and more so if i don't really have close connections/relationships with them.

(About 3RP3)

You should contact professors asap, before they accept thesis/grad students etc and may not have room for you in September. It also takes time for the SCCE office to process your application and make suggestions/modification about your evaluations and what not.

I'm currently enrolled in 3EP3 for the second part of summer (Term 2: June-Aug). I got a placement with an oral surgeon and orthodontist since I want to do dentistry. You just need to talk to the person you want to shadow and I'm sure they wouldn't mind being a placement supervisor since they don't need to do much. The academic supervisor is the one that grades you and does the marking so its a good idea to find a prof at mac who will be your academic supervisor first before you find a placement supervisor. Just email the profs that you think will take you and I'm sure they would be glad to help. For 3RP3, I would suggest sending out emails as soon as you can. Many profs are already full for the fall 2014-winter 2015 so it's going to get harder finding a supervisor for 3RP3 if you wait longer.
