Question About timetables/ Advice needed
Okay so for term 2 i have a 3 hour bio lab from 11:30-14:20, then RIGHT AFTER that i have physics 1L03 for an hour from 14:30-15:20 and then right after that i have Enviro for an hour ...is that okay? would you recommend sticking with that?

OR do you think i should move my bio lab to the morning from 8 30 - 11 30? i dont think im a morning person but i might get used to mornings on fridays cuz i have Kin 1Y03 in term one which is on thursday and friday early in the morning... What would you advise me to do?

And another question, do the weeks when tutorials and labs of the same subject occur in alternating weeks? or do they occur during the same week together?

And also if i choose LAB 33 does that mean I HAVE TO take tutorial 33??

Are you talking about BIO 1A03 labs because 1M03 has tutorials in it's place and the pre-tutorial assignments and quiz could be finished in 5-10 minutes.

BIO1M03 Tuts. are fairly easy, so it shouldn't worry you about where to fit them in. There's an online quiz that needs to be completed before you attend your Tut. That opens up on the Monday I believe. And in the Tut. you have somewhat like a mini-lecture at the beginning & get an assignment to complete, which has to be handed in the following day. I remember being dismissed from class 30mins. before the Tut. ended.. usually. So, I think it's fine where it is. If you wanna move it up to an 8:30 that should be fine too. You'll get time to grab some lunch before your Physics class starts. And if your in the Sciences then it was Chem 1A03/1AA3 where you needed matching Labs & Tuts (ex. L44 & T44). That way you have a Lab one week & a Tut. the next week - and the alternate like that. If any other lab/tut. is listed as occurring EOW, then it's every other week, otherwise if nothing is mentioned then the labs/tuts run every week. And if they're EOW, then the Lab/Tut. ending with an odd number (ex. L1, T3, L3, etc.) ran the first week & the evens ( ex. T2, L2, T4, L4, etc) ran the next week, and they alternated like that. But you'll get information on which courses choose to run even numbers 1st week or choose to run odd 1st week. That way you can fit in say.. 2 labs/tuts (Bio L4, Psych T6) the 1st week & 1 lab (Bio L3) the next, so that you don't have all the labs running in the same week. I hope that makes sense?

Oh.. Yeh, BIO1A03 labs are kinda tedious. But again, the good thing is you only have to hand-in your report (which is usually just a page long, except for the formal) - the next day. For the formal report, I think you get a week. Leave it if you're okay about skipping lunch / grabbing some lunch within the 10 mins. you run to your next class. Otherwise, move it up.

Okay i can move Bio 1A03 lab to monday which means i would have to hand in whatever on tuesday. Is there anything similar for Chem 1AA3? like do i have to hand in anything the following day for those labs?

Oh and what do students do during the Physics 1L03 tutorial?

For Chem you hand it in the day of. So, you finish up you lab, work on your report & hand it in before leaving the lab. It isn't that bad cuz you've got 3 hours to complete everything. The lab itself takes around 1-and-a-half hours to complete at most.

I personally wouldn't keep a Chem Lab @ the start of my day. I kept it at the end, so that it was the last thing I wrapped up with. I was pretty exhausted by the time I got out of those Chem labs - they were long and tiring. I haven't taken Phys1L03, so I can't really comment on that one. You can check the reviews here to see what people have to say:
