Questions about majors and minors
If I applied to Honours Biology with the Psych minor and I get in, is it possible to take extra courses to turn that minor into a major as well?

Youn don't need to "apply" for a minor. You declare it before your graduation by showing you have completed the requirements for said minor in the undergraduate calendar. You would need to talk to an academic advisor about upgrading to a double major, but it could be possible. Be advised that you may require an extra term or two of schooling after your four levels are up. You would return as a continuing student, having already graduated with a HBSc. Biology with Psych minor.

However, if you are talking about "Honours Biology and Psychology", that is a double major program.

Yes it is possible but that will become a double major or combine Honours with your current major if that's what you're talking about. Unless of course you decided to transfer from your current program to your minor program to make it your major.

That's actually what I did. I was majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Geography. In my final year, I decided to transfer to my minor program because I didn't meet the requirements to continue on with my major.

Major in PNB minor in Marketing
Is it possible to Major in PNB and minor in Marketing ? because the business program seems super exclusive so I was wondering if I could even get into the marketing classes as a soc sci student

PNB does have plenty of elective space to do a minor, but if the courses you want are limited to students in the marketing program you'll have to get permission from professors to get into them. you'd have to contact the business faculty's academic advisors to find out if a minor is feasible given the capacity of their courses.

Assuming you took Psych 1X03 & 1XX3, you need to take at least 6 more Psychology courses. However, if you are using any of the Psychology courses to fulfill the "Biology Course List" component of your degree, only a maximum of 2 of them can simulanteously fulfill your Biology Course List component and your minor requirements.

So at least 4/6 of your other psychology courses must be electives.

Why don't you consider doing a Double Major in Biology & Psychology, they have a program for it at McMaster!
