Quietest Residence?
Hey everyone,
So in a day or two, I will be completing the online residence application and pay the $600 residence deposit. In your experience living in residence (or being with your friends in other residences), which residences would you say are the quietest? I know that some places (ie; Brandon) has a reputation for being rowdy, but I want to live in a residence where I'll hopefully be able to get some sleep.

Wally, Edwards, Keyes, and Moulton tend to be the quietest Residences.

It honestly depends on who is living there each year. The building is just a building, it's gonna be the people who move in year to year that determine it.

Halcyon House
A residence environment specifically for those students seeking a greater commitment to noise reduction. While quiet hours are observed in each residence, and quiet floors are available, Halcyon House is suited for students committed to living in a community with greater restrictions on noise. If you value a quieter lifestyle, than Halcyon House is the cod-ed residence for you

As others have mentioned it depends entirely on the people living in your building each year but from living in residence for 2 years, I would say Wally, Moulton, Les Prince, and Edwards tend to be fairly quiet.

Keyes was really, really quiet last year. I never heard a peep. Sometimes it was creepy...

I was in Bates last year and they have parties at the beginning of the year but I found it pretty quiet (plus I believe I was on a quiet floor).
Can you still say you prefer a quiet floor on the res app?

Thanks everyone for your input!
.....and yes Leeoku, I'm completely aware that you can't choose specific residences; but I needed to know this in terms of which style I should choose (ie; Double with Washroom to be in Les Prince, Suite style for Mary Keyes).

Matthew's is kind of a crappy residence but is built to be more soundproof than any of the other residence. So it is ACTUALLY quiet. I don't EVER remember hearing anyone or anything. However, if you want a nicer place and don't mind the higher price, Bates and Keyes are relatively quiet also.
