I was in Bates and it really was not that quiet especially on Thursdays and weekends, it's not even that people are sometimes loud in the hallways but I would always hear people from outside, my window faced campus so sometimes I would hear rowdy drunk people coming from 1280 on Thursdays. Once my friend from Les Prince was over and people were being loud out in the hallways and he said on his floor in res the CAs would be out in a second to shut them up, I guess not in Bates. But I didn't mind it that much, depends on you. We had a lot of fire alarms though and one the night before my psych exam...which was at nine in the morning, I had finally gone to sleep at 2 AM a wonderful thing for me considering for other exams I stayed up until 5 or 6 and as soon as I laid my head down the alarm went off and I was outside for an hour or more...couldve been studying. I'm really excited to not have to deal with anymore stupid fire alarms.
