Re-correction of Exam Paper
Hi all!

Suppose I want my exam paper to get checked again, what is the procedure I have to follow?
Can some one guide me through that?
Iam in first year engineering and I failed my Math 1Zb3 course..so yeah..
Thanks!

Hi Abhimint, I am sorry to hear about that. I am not sure if they can do that since the exam is all multiple choice and the computer marks it.
But it doesn't hurt to email your professor and tell him your situation.

The math department is a bit different if you want to actually see your exam (I think all science departments follow the same protocol). http://www.math.mcmaster.ca/courses/exam_review.php

Unfortunately there is nothing about a regrading protocol for the math department (which I could find).

No problem ! A friend of mine failed 1zb3 last year and wanted to check if there was something wrong with his exam. He emailed his professor asking for a regrade, and the professor did that. Unfortunately there were no mistakes in his exam.
It doesn't hurt at all to email your professor.

Is it possible to take it in the summer in time for you to still be accepted into level 2 programs? (assuming the re-grade doesn't change anything).

Jim, I got another question..
Does asking your professor to bump up your final grade just by a little bit ever work?
If you explain to them your situation and show them that you really want to be in the program..
Thanks in advance man..

yes it does. it is completely up to them and if they are nice they can see what can they bump up (weightings, midterm marks, etc)

McLean won't bump your 1ZB3 mark though. You'd have to contact Dr. Childs for that. McLean wouldn't even bump your 1ZC3 mark either regardless of him being the coordinator for that or not. Good luck and try much harder next time so you can perhaps prevent this from happening again!

As other students have said, it doesn't hurt to ask. I think you have to contact Dr.Childs for that... definitely explain your situation to him.
I think it depends on how far you are from 50%
