it says that an increase in cortisol levels has a positive effect in small doses. Not sure how they concluded that meeting a beautiful woman is bad for your health because of that, the title seems sensational and misleading.

Eh I remember back in high school I had a really cute girl that liked me. We got to know each other and I finally asked her out. Now everybody knew we were together and I couldn't believe I had a cute girl to myself. I freaked out and didn't know what exactly to do in the relationship for the next couple weeks.

She thought I was weird and we called it quits. We rarely spoke since. I felt relieved and yet want to hit my head against the wall. She's freaking gorgeous as we speak but I got myself a girlfriend of nearly two years so I am not interested.

So in a way, I agree with the the article.

This is pretty true. Whenever I'm talking to an attractive person, it's like getting injected with adrenaline, and that can't possibly be good for my health lol.

Hahaha

Depending on the guy, I either get really excited or really stressed out. I won't go into details lol

me.

6chars

@balthair: I'm not trying to be mean, but in this case, wouldn't any hardships that were caused from that arrangement be due to your insecurity as opposed to the attractiveness of the girl?

Yep. It's a defense mechanism. Unfortunately, the other person feels as if you don't give a damn about them... and thus start to hate you

Maybe right after you've donated blood or something... you might faint!

Sounds about right.. I think it would be better explained by saying: beautiful random women you don't know may be bad for ones health in the short term.

Seeing a pretty girl can put me in a bad mood or ruin my whole day outright depending on how pretty she is

my ex was pretty hot
she drove me insane, hence why she's now my ex
really pretty women = trouble
normally pretty girl = good (and also more likely to be of higher intelligence)
