Reinstated, Question about OSAP?
Hi guys,

After a long time waiting am got reinstated . I still can't believe it

I had a question regarding OSAP. I got a letter from OSAP a while back when I got kicked out (April) and it said that I cannot get any funds due to my academic status. I was wondering if I can apply and recieve OSAP this year? From previous thread I have read, it seems like I have to pay myself for the first year back?

I was gonna post on the old thread about reinstatement, but it seems like its overused so only the regulars that are waiting are checking it.

All the help is appreciated!

My understanding is that the first time you fail to pass 60% of your courseload, you go on probation and have to write OSAP a letter saying pretty much the same things as your reinstatement letter -- why you screwed up and what you'll do to make sure it doesn't happen again. I think it's pretty much guaranteed that you will get funding again but should you fail to pass 60% of your courses again, you will have to withdraw or self-fund for a year. I think you can get the form you need from the financial aid office, and then apply normally. This is how it's been for friends of mine, anyway. Best of luck!
