Reinstatement Question (regarding faculty change)
hello all,

i unfortunately did not fair well in my academics this year (due to personal self issues) and as a result have been asked to "not continue at the university". i have decided to attend college for next year, and apply for reinstatement at mac in 2015.

i was wondering, if i'm applying for reinstatement next year, can it only be back to my faculty (Social Sciences) or can I ask for a reinstatement into another faculty (like Sciences)? the reason i ask is because i have decided to change my focus and try a different path (based on the advice of my parents and close friends). the college program i am going to be doing in the fall is in the sciences.

So would it be possible to get reinstatement into Life Sciences I or would I have to go back to Social Sciences?

Thanks in advance, guys.

you can get reinstated to a different faculty. although if you are applying to be reinstated into second or third year you will need to already have the prerequisites for that year. so you might need to apply to be reinstated into first year or something. that could actually help your application out, since you were in a program that wasn't of interest to you but now you've found one that is. just make sure you explain that you've really researched the program you want to go in to so they know this time around it will work out better for you good luck!
