I've been looking for them as well! I haven't seen any available yet. I'm sure they're out there somewhere because I've seen people wearing them already... but I don't know where they got them. I'm sure more places will have them starting this week.

I'm interested in finding out answers to both of these questions! I will look into this.

Actually, come to think of it, there was a Legion booth selling Poppies at Limeridge yesterday; unfortunately I had absolutely no cash/change on me and I felt terrible.

Everyone, please show your support to our troops and those who fought and died for Canada; wear a poppy and go to a Remembrance Day ceremony!

For at least the last three years Compass had them. However the only way you can tell if they did again this year is to check...I'm not in MUSC often so I have nooo idea...

Usually they will announce them about a week in advance.

When you get off the bus and walk in the front door of the hospital, there is usually a veteran selling them there. I picked mine up on Friday.

There is a list of local events here
http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/s...eek2009/events

Or you can use this map to zoom in to your area for local ceremonies (it takes a minute to load)
http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/s...k2009/mappings

Poppies are available at grocery stores, convenience stores, places like that. You'll probably be able to get them at the Pharmacy or Union Market within a week or so.

Gore Park is the location of the cemermonies in Hamilton. I have gone every here since coming to Mac and is it always packed solid with people. Just take the HSR downtown and you cannot miss it, if you get there around 10:15am, you can watch the parade.
The vets are all really friendly and will talk to you if you want to as well.
I think lots of Mac students should go, its a great way to show your support for the vets and what they did, and they love seeing young people there.
