Requesting registration in French 1A06
This is going to be a bit long just because of the situation I am in...

So originally I wanted to take French 1A06 as my elective, but I only have one course space left and French 1A06 is a two term course.
The reason I have only one course space left is because I planned to take Physics 1L03 and Physics 1B03 in my first year but only one of the two is required.
I have not taken gr. 12 physics before, and thought that I would register for summer school gr. 12 physics so that I only take physics 1B03 first year.
This way, I can take French 1A06.
However, I realize that I cannot register for Physics 1B03 on SOLAR before I complete summer school gr. 12 physics.

My question is: should I just put in physics 1L03 and physics 1B03 and choose a 3-unit elective on SOLAR and then ask the French office or someone to put me in French 1A06 when school starts? Will I for sure get into the class?

My other question is: is it worth all this just to get French 1A06 as my elective?

The reason I am so stuck on French 1A06 is because I would like to keep practicing my french and also because I heard it's an easy course.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can or should do? Thanks a lot in advance!

You won't be able to take more than 30 units in your first year. However you can call up an academic advisor to see what you can do about Physics 1B03. Maybe they'll give you a waiver to take it provided you are taking grade 12 Physics in summer school. Call them right now: http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/main/contacts.html
