Res Charges
I just got an email recently saying that i have a $50 charge for a hole in the closet. This doesn't make sense to me. I have never damaged the closet in any way. It doesn't make sense why I would bunch a hole in the closet. It would make sense that i contact them for a missing item in the beginning of the year, but it doesn't make sense why I would scan the room with a magnifying glass to search for every hole or scratches on the door or the closet.
Does anyone else have the same problem? I've emailed them a month ago, but there is still no replies. Is there anywhere in the school that i can go and complain?

Unless you filed a damage report at the beginning of the year to cite something, any damages found when you move out are considered to be made by you. I know a few people who ran into this same problem, but none of them got out of paying for it, unfortunately.

Who did you e-mail about it?

I along with my 2 other roomies each got charged for missing garbage cans. But we all had our garbage cans underneath our desk before we left. I emailed [email protected] almost about 2 weeks ago, and I still haven't heard anything from them either.

I got charged for a missing garbage bin last year too. Turned out the bins wer stacked on top of each other so they didn't notice them. It was just annoying cus in order to see your grades and what program you got into you had to pay fine first. Luckily, they ended up finding the bin so they credited the charge to my account.

It took them a couple of weeks because they had to process over 100s residence damages/missing items claims.

Hope your charges get cleared!!

I understand how you feel...the same thing happened to me. They charged me $30 for that plus another $30 for not cleaning the room. -.-
