Residence Deposit & Conditional Offer
I received a conditional offer from Mcmaster, which I have a good chance of meeting, but final exams tend to bring my average down quite some bit, so I'm not sure if i will meet it.
I want to accept the offer, and apply for residence, but both of those are due on June 2nd, which is before final marks.
So my concern is, if I apply for residence, and pay the $600 deposit, but then have my offer taken away because I didn't meet the condition in my final marks.
Will I get that deposit back?

In that case, if I apply for residence after final marks, do you think there is a chance I will get a spot, or will it be full by then?

It will probably be full, but you will get put on a waiting list.

Honestly, just study hard for exams and get those marks you need.. if you have a hard time doing that in highschool, university is going to be brutal.

I don't know about conditional offers, but did they say anything specific? Some conditional offers depend on your marks in university, first term, not final marks in highschool.

Yeah, I guess thats all i can really do. Thanks.
$600 just is a lot of money to risk like that. Guess the deposit will jsut be more incentive to study then.

What you should really do is call McMaster and ask them since they are the one's who truly know. Idk if it would be the Office of the Registrar or Housing you would ask. But just call.
